  Yes. We require home owners/ project managers to be present during estimate to fully understand the extent of the project. Although a project may seem simple, the estimator may point out some items that must be clarified. Standard estimates do not take much time, normally they are about 10-15 minutes.  Please keep in mind due to traffic and other extraneous factors,  Estimator's arrival time window can range anywhere from 15-30 minutes. 

It is always best to communicate with your neighbors that you are planning on replacing the shared fence(s). After speaking with them, reach out to us so we can schedule an appointment to send out an estimator. It is best for all neighbors to be present during the appointment so all questions are answered promptly. When signing the contract, please have all neighbors fill out their information so they may be invoiced separately. 

  Green growth removal is very important! We ask customers to provide us with three feet of clearance on each side of the fence line and at least eight inches on top. This gives us just enough clearance to work on your project. This must be cleared prior to project start date. 

Locking up the fur-babies! In the process of building, there may be open areas that may cause your  pets to run out.  To prevent this, we ask to please set up arrangements prior to project date to ensure everyone's safety.

We offer a 5-year warranty on all craftsmanship and material. Material coverage limited to normal wear and tear, or other conditions beyond our control. For further clarification and other questions, please send an email request to info@mighty-builders.com

Payment is always due upon project completion, please provide foreman with a check, money order, cashiers check or cash.

All parties can pay one neighbor and that neighbor can submit full payment or each neighbor can pay individually. When signing the contract, it is important to add in name, phone number, email address, and the total dollar amount responsible in order to be invoiced correctly.

Yes. Either if it is con-common or con-heart it will have knots. The wood used  for an outdoor fence, is exterior wood. Regardless of the amount of knots, your fence will remain secure and stable for many years to come.

The color. Many years ago, the answer to this question would be different. It would run along the lines of "Con-heart is stronger and more durable because it comes from the heart". This answer is no longer accurate because California has implemented a new law, making it illegal to cut down old-aged trees. Only new-aged trees are being cut, thus the quality is the same, the difference is the color. Con-heart is used for more aesthetic purpose (for a more even color look).

Backing is the term used for placing pressure treated wood horizontally against the redwood boards. Backing is used when there is higher soil in certain areas, a planter bed, or greenery that may cause the redwood boards to become damaged. Adding backing to a fence will help with the longevity. A Retaining Wall is used when your neighbor or city property is at a different grade than your home. If your home is higher, the retaining wall will be set on the other side of the fence. This prevents any soil from sliding; it will help retain the soil/dirt on its belonging side. Typically a retaining wall is needed when the grading difference is more than 12"; anything shorter will only need a taller kickboard (a 2x12 Kickboard vs the standard 2x8 Kickboard).

No, we do not handle permits. You will need to get that taken care of on your end if the project needs permit. Typically a permit is not needed for a standard fence replacement, however it would be best to check with your city's limits and policies.
